About Us

Dear Doll Lover~

When we discovered this doll with multiple joints that can be posed in oh so many ways with her fabulous pout, we could not resist her. Dollikin captured our hearts like no other.

The first doll we purchased was a project doll. She required new elastic bands and one of her hands was off. It took a good deal of time, but we took her apart, cleaned her, re-strung her, set her hair and made her a new outfit…and Ta-Da! She was looking mighty fine for someone of her age.

The products and guides you find here have come about through much experimentation and experience. In the past we simply repaired the Dollikin dolls and then found them new homes. As our family of friends who enjoyed these dolls grew, so did the desire to help others put their own dolls together, and to clothe them and surround them with wonderful things made just for them.

Added into this mix were the new ball joint dolls from Japan and Korea. We could not resist them and they too became part of the family of dolls we enjoy so much.

Introducing Zelda

Zelda was in the worst shape of any Dollikin we had ever purchased. She was found in the bottom of a box of doll clothes purchased on eBay.

She was completely apart, her hip was warped, her hair had been cut off almost completely and her eyes were cloudy with fungus. Still, there was something about her. With great loving care, Chip and I restored her. I even found a new set of eyes for her. We will never part with Zelda. She is our Style Manager.

Right: Zelda without eyes. She is with her friend Teddy dressed for Halloween.

Desk was not quite finished in this picture, but Zelda wasn’t feeling very patient at the time so we dressed her up and took her photo.

Intoducing Zelda’s Friends

Mi Tei

Mi Tei currently lives in London.

It is because of Mi Tei’s love of wigs (she had many) that Zelda decided that she too wanted wigs instead of having her hair re-plugged.

Mi Tei is a Volks Dollfie with decal eyes.

Kumi

Kumi is an Obitsu doll from Japan. She has glass eyes and several wigs. She did not have her “face-up” in this picture. She is living it up in Reno, Nevada.

Since 1998, we have been playing with Dollikins. We will continue to play with Dollikin and her new cousins!
